How to merge PDFs and extract or split pages
Combine separate PDFs into one document or keep only the pages you need from a longer file. Keep the originals and check the saved output’s page order and content.
Merge documents in the right order
- Choose PDFsWait for the page counts to appear. Remove or replace any file that cannot be read.
- Arrange the listUse Up and Down to set the order, then choose Merge PDFs. Pages inside each source document keep their sequence.
- Create and saveSelect Create PDF and save the result. The original files remain unchanged.
Count from the first physical page
For extraction and splitting, choose one PDF. Page 1 means the first page in the file, regardless of printed labels such as i, ii, 1 and 2. Count a cover as the first page if the document has one.
- 1-3,5
- Pages 1, 2, 3 and 5 in one PDF
- 1-3;4-6
- Two PDFs containing pages 1–3 and 4–6
- 5,2,1
- Pages extracted in the entered order
Duplicate pages inside one group and ranges beyond the last page produce an error. Different semicolon-separated groups may reuse the same page.
Save separate PDFs or a ZIP
Multiple groups produce an individual save button for each PDF and a Save all as ZIP button. Extract the ZIP to open its PDFs. The combined output is limited to 100 MB.
You can cancel during processing. If a file is too demanding, try fewer files or pages. After cancelling an inspection, use Check files again for items that do not yet have a page count.
Rotate, remove and reorder pages with previews
Choose Organize / rotate pages and select one PDF. Each preview shows the output position and the original page number. For example, Output 1 · Original 3 means the third source page will become the first page of the saved PDF.
Rotate turns a page 90° clockwise from its current orientation. Earlier and Later move it one position. Remove excludes a page from the output; at least one page must remain. Undo restores the last 30 changes. Restore original pages brings back removed pages and resets order and orientation.
The editor shows 12 pages at a time. Use Next pages to continue. Select Create organized PDF, then save the result. Thumbnails are reduced print previews, while the saved PDF copies the original page text and images. If a preview fails, reload it or check the source PDF.
Understand what is preserved
The tool copies page text and images without rasterizing the pages. Document bookmarks, attachments and links are omitted. Password-protected files, forms and digitally signed PDFs are unsupported.
Keep originals when interactive forms or signatures matter. A print-ready copy made in the original app may preserve their appearance while losing signature validation or other behavior. Open and check every output page before using the result.
Save PDF pages as JPG or PNG images
Choose ‘PDF → JPG / PNG’ in the PDF tool and select one PDF. Enter pages, or leave the field blank to include all pages. For example, 5,2,1 processes those pages in that order. The source may contain up to 200 pages; each run converts up to 20.
Select JPG or PNG and a long edge of 1,000, 2,000 or 3,000px. Page proportions and original orientation are preserved on a white background. JPG uses 92% quality; PNG stores the rendered pixels losslessly. PDF text becomes pixels, so zooming in may reduce its apparent sharpness.
Create images, check the first result, and save each image or the ZIP. Outputs are limited to 100 MB in total. Extract the ZIP and reopen its images. The source PDF stays unchanged. To convert edits made in Organize / rotate pages, first save that organized PDF, then choose the saved file for image conversion.
